The 44th Barrow Neuroscience Nursing Symposium will take place on Tuesday, October 20th and Wednesday, October 21st in the Goldman Auditorium at the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, Arizona.

This year's theme, "Local Roots, Global Reach," delves into the entire neurological patient care continuum. Experts will explore best practices, cutting-edge advancements, and persistent challenges in neuroscience nursing, fostering collaborative, multidisciplinary approaches to enhance patient outcomes. This comprehensive course meticulously addresses the entire patient journey for neurological care, from initial emergency response to successful reintegration into the community. Participants will critically discuss optimal approaches, recent innovations, and the wide array of difficulties encountered when delivering neurological services in different environments.

Barrow Neurological Institute of St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center is internationally recognized as a leader in neurological research, education, and patient care. Barrow officially launched its neuroscience nursing program on the day that the first neurosurgical units opened in 1962 with just 28 neuroscience nurses.

Since then, we have expanded our team to include over 400 neuroscience nurses. Barrow’s nurses are devoted to providing excellent patient care and finding better ways to treat neurological disorders.
