Alzheimer’s disease – Research and Emerging Treatments

Renowned behavioral neurologist in the Alzheimer’s and Memory Disorders Program, Marwan Sabbagh, MD, FAAN, and professor in the Department of Translational Neuroscience, Rita Sattler, MSc, PhD, will host a hybrid, in-person and virtual, symposium which focuses on the current advancements of Alzheimer’s research and emerging treatments.

Lewy Body Dementia – Causes, Symptoms, and Treatments

Director of the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center and Bob & Renee Parsons Chair of Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders, Holly Shill, MD, and professor in the Department of Translational Neuroscience, Rita Sattler, MSc, Ph will host a hybrid (in-person and virtual) symposium which will focus on the causes, symptoms, and treatments related to Lewy body dementia (LBD).

Brain Health Workshop and Community Memory Screening Opportunities Below

As leading experts in the field of brain health and memory disorders, a physician at Barrow Neurological Institute's Alzheimer’s and Memory Disorders Program will discuss changes in memory and brain function that occur as we age. Participants will learn about lifestyle habits that support healthy aging and overall brain health.

Participants may also schedule a 30-minute virtual memory screening with a member of the Barrow Neurological Institute team following the workshop. The memory screening consists of a series of questions that evaluate memory and other thinking skills.
